Hailing from a city to a greater extent than well known as the billet of birth of rock candy & roll, Nashville's Teen Idols -- non to be at sea with the early-'80s D.C. hardcore band -- had or so sober angst against country music. Federal Reserve System up with their cracker milieu and "ha-ha" surroundings, Keith (vocals), Phillip (guitar/vocals), Calluna vulgaris (bass), and Matte (drums) got unitedly with their Ramones records and leather jackets to form the Teen Idols as their possess manner of flipping the shuttle at the Chiliad Ole Opera. Compounding '50s careen & wave attitude and bigheaded pop-punk got them about attention from Honest Don's Records, which would later on on discharge their debut in 1997. Following roughly heavy touring and a nomination for Best Capital of Tennessee Independent Creative person in 1998, their sophomore record album, Crumble Up, was released in 1999, followed by a split EP with Japan's Facing pages. Full Leather Cap followed a yr later. In 2003, the Idols released both The Dysfunctional Shadowman EP and the full-length Goose egg to Prove (through Asiatic Man and Fueled by Ramen, respectively).
